2016 BMW X2: The 3-Door Crossover

Let’s go back to talk about the BMW X2, X1′s sporty variant of the German company intends to propose in 2016. The X1 will be present because the object of a makeover in 2013, only to be replaced by a new generation in 2015: on this occasion, a year later, the variant will be revealed “coupe” X2, in the wake of what happened with the X6 and what we will see with the already confirmed X4, derived from the X3.

This proliferation of SUV (or SAV as BMW wants the definition) and sporty crossover will also bring a major revolution, since the future will come from X1 and X2 Mini platform with front-wheel drive or full depending on versions. The X2 will also be brought only in the 3-door version, as happened with the Range Rover Evoque and will offer a 4-seater cabin with rear seats spaced between them, also to load large objects and equipment. As reported by AutoBild.de, X1 is the future for the time known as the F48, while the X2, still awaiting the final green of the Board, is known as the F47. The range of engines will exploit the recent 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel, but they are not using future hybrid variants 3 cylinders.
